Pokemon GO Type Chart 2026 - Quick Reference Guide
Pokemon GO Type Chart 2026 - Quick Reference Guide
Pokemon GO uses a slightly different type chart than the main series games. Understanding these differences is crucial for raids, PvP (GO Battle League), and Team GO Rocket battles.
How Pokemon GO Type Effectiveness Differs
The main series uses 2×, 0.5×, and 0× multipliers. Pokemon GO is different:
| Matchup | Main Series | Pokemon GO |
|---|---|---|
| Super Effective | 2× | 1.6× |
| Not Very Effective | 0.5× | 0.625× |
| Immune | 0× | 0.391× |
| Double Super Effective | 4× | 2.56× |
| Double Resist | 0.25× | 0.391× |
Key difference: There are no true immunities in Pokemon GO. Ground moves still hit Flying types, Normal moves still hit Ghost types — they just deal reduced damage (0.391×).
This means some strategies from the main series don't work in GO. For example, Gengar (Ghost/Poison) still takes damage from Normal and Fighting moves.
